1975, Clark
'Assyrian Gold' OG (Leo Clark by Virginia Ross, R. 1975). Seedling 63C16. AB, height 14-16" (35-41 cm), Early bloom season. Standards pale gold, lightly veined darker, greenish at midrib; Falls pale gold, more heavily veined and dotted maroon with patterning coalescing into bright maroon spot at base of dark bronze beard; large style crests patterned and colored like falls. (( I. atropurpurea x I. jordana ) x ( 'Charon' x ( I. auranitica x 'Teucros'))) x I. gatesii ) X Clark seedling: (( I. helenae x Austin W118-O-Y, yellow: ( I. auranitica x 'Charon') x ( I. susiana x 'Andromache')).
