'Isis' RC ( C. G. Van Tubergen before 1907). AR. Early bloom. 14". Medium blue and reddish toned blend. I. korolkowii var. violacea X I. iberica Van Houttei. Synonym: Iris. Van Tubergen, Grullemans, Lisse, Holland, before 1907. [21 chr.].

From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: ISIS, A.M., R.H.S. Very large, with grand flowers of a ruby red self-colour with grey and purple veins, easily grown. This variety may be called one of the most beautiful of this new race.
From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1961: ISIS ( Van T before '07 ) E 14" (I . korol. violaceae X iberica Van Houttei). Standards between carmine and fuchsia, while the falls are of light buff overlaid with maroon veins. Black signal patch. $1.25

I korolkowii var. violacea X I iberica Van Houttei. AIS Color Class: S3M (blue squalens, with bitone pattern).'76 YB: Medium blue and reddish-toned blend. Court of Iris: "Standards between carmine and fuchsia, falls are light buff overlaid with maroon veins, black signal patch." Rainbow: E14". Standards "bright violet carmine" and falls "light maroon, heavily overlaid on a buff ground ... signal patches of blackish maroon . .. blackbeard." Valette: "S. violet carmine; F. light maroon; blackish signal and black beard." Syn: Iris. VanTubergen, Grullemans, Lisse, Holland, before 1907.
