Don Denney, R. 1978). Seedling #D72-47-1. BB, height 26" (66 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards bronzed yellow (RHS 163B) with ruby (59A) overlay; falls bronzed yellow with infusion of ruby in center; bronzed yellow beard.

From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing BAMBOO CAPER (Don Denney, 1980). BB, M, 26". This is a smaller, tailored iris to be enjoyed for its color. Standards are bronzed yellow (RHS 163B) with an overlay of ruby (59A). The falls are bronzed yellow with an infusion of ruby in the center. Its form is from MAYNARD-more of an arillook, with larger standards than falls. Seedlings produce a wide variety of color ranges in blended shades, many with spots on the falls.
