From Cape Iris Gardens catalog, 1980: IRENE'S LOVE (T. Gladish '81) Sdlg.1-77: B72-8: (Denver Mint x Meghan) X Brown Lasso, BB, 24" (61 cm), Early-mid., LY1/LV6br. This is the first seedling to be introduced out of BROWN LASSO and one that will delight you. The pod parent is a red brown with a brown rim from two proven parents.This cross was quite varied and all of high quality. The stds. are almost full yellow and the falls are light violet with a brown rim and ruffled.The bloom has a nice blocky form that is within size for a border iris. HC'77. $25,00
