WIZARD (Ghio '66) VL. 24" A border bearded iris which will vie with any iris for the greenist title. WIZARD is the result of four generations of deliberate breeding in an effort to obtain an outstanding clean green iris. It is a yellow-green self; the standards are a shade lighter than the falls. The entire blossom is sprinkled with gold dust which gives WIZARD an unusual sparkle and brilliance as if it were touched by a wizard's sorcery. A self beard tops off this uniquely different iris. Well branched with a low growing "Tulare" type rhizomes. No. 61-89Y: (((Char-Maize x (Tiffanja x Blue Shimmer)) x ((Green Pastures x Hilda: (Tiffanja x Mulberry Rose))) X Blarney Stone: (Spanish Peaks x Vatican Purple) x ((Mexico x Sultan's Robe) x Savage)). $20.00.
