'Apache Warrior' (Alta Brown, R. 1971). Seedling M 1491-7. IB, 22" (cm), Midseason bloom. Standards rich golden tan; falls rich golden tan with overlay of rich smooth red-brown on upper half around rich brown beard. 'Power And Glory' X 'Cherry Garden'. Brown's Iris Garden 1972. Honorable Mention 1973; Judges Choice 1974; Award of Merit 1976

From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing APACHE WARRIOR. 22". M. Beautifully formed, rich golden tan with smooth overlay of red-brown on the upper part of the broad, rounded falls: bushy beard is rich brown. 2 branches, 5 buds. M 1491-7 (Power and Glory X Cherry Garden). $7.50. Brown's Iris Garden.
