(IB) 'Fairy Cheeks'

1974, Roberts

'Fairy Cheeks' (Earl Roberts, R. 1971). Seedling #70R47. IB, Height 19" (48 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards white; falls pinkish orange with butterscotch hafts; tangerine beard. 'Dache Model' X 'Sing Along'. Roberts 1974. High Commendation 1971, Honorable Mention 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #214 July 1974 Introducing FAIRY CHEEKS: 20", 70R47: (Dache Model X Sing Along). S. overlapping, warm white with pinkish veining; semi-flared F. orange-pink with butterscotch hafts; tangerine beards; 1-2 branches, 3-4 buds, fertile. Close to a pink amoena but overfeeding produces strappy falls and oversized flowers. Introduced primarily for hybridizers. HC 1971. $5.00. Roberts.
