From H. P. Simpson catalog, 1922: HER MAJESTY (Perry, 1909>) S. pretty shade of rose-pink ; F. darker with considerable veining. 20-22 inch. 25¢. |
From Cornell Bulletin 112: Color effect a mallow pink, light mallow purple self, slightly blended and veined. Standards mallow pink or lighter, bronzed at claw. Falls light mallow purple veins on a slightly lighter ground which becomes mallow pink along the beard and on the outer haft. Reticulations reddish purple on the haft. Beard dense, conspicuous Yellow-orange. This is a moderate grower and has stiff, broad, green foliage. The good-sized, fragrant blooms are borne on rather heavy, stiff stems, its color is pleasing, and the firm texture of the blooms makes it a good cut flower. As a distinct pink and a late midseason bloomer, it is still worthy of a place in any garden. Rating 73. |
