From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: MARY GARDEN — (Sq.) S. pale yellow flushed pale lavender giving iridescent effect; F. long and drooping, creamy-white minutely stippled and veined maroon. An elegant flower of distinct coloring and markings. Twenty-eight inches. 75c.
From Movilla Gardens catalog, 1921: MARY GARDEN (Farr 1913.) S. pale yellow, flushed pale lavender; F. cream-white, minutely dotted and veined maroon; stigmas clear yellow. Distinct and unusual coloring. 30 inches.
From Longfield Iris Farm catalog, 1925: Standards pale yellow dulled by a sanding of light purple; Falls creamy white veined maroon purple. Thirty inches. Good only when viewed closely.
