MAYGOLD. (Nich. 1931). 24 inches $3.00. Sister seedling of Crysoro. Intermediate. Large, smooth blooms of a uniform Canary yellow. A very little deeper in color than Ambera but of different shape. Particularly firm substance. (Irises and Peonies catalog 1931, J. C. Nicholls, Ithaca, NY)
From Maple Valley Iris Garden catalog, 1937: MAYGOLD (Nich. 1931) VE. 23 in. An early light canary yellow of excellent form and substance. Lively fresh coloring. 25c.
