'Slam Dunk' (O. David Niswonger, R. 1995). Seedling #IB 29-87. IB, 20" (51 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards and style arms pale yellow; falls near-white, pale yellow at hafts; beards pale yellow. 'Lemon Mist' X 'Captured Spirit'. Pod fertile. Cape Iris 1995. Honorable Mention 1998.

From AIS Bulletin #297 April 1995 Introducing SLAM DUNK (Nichols-Niswonger '95) Sdlg. IB 29-87: Lemon Mist X Captured Spirit. IB, 20" (51 cm), M. The form of this iris is probably its best feature with nice wide rounded falls. The standards are pale yellow and the falls are white with some yellow at the hafts. It's a good grower and makes a pleasing clump. $20.00. Cape Iris.
