| From Marx Gardens catalog, 1955: HOWOKAN (Admired Phoenix) Each $1.50. Among the daintiest of all the Japanese Iris. Falls are white but so completely sanded rosy crimson that the color from a distance is bright red. The upright standards are vivid red purple. Outstanding.
