■(JI) 'Izu-No-Umi'

prior to 1985, Hirao

'Izo-No-Umi' (Shuichi Hirao by Society for Japanese Irises, R. 1993) JI (3 Falls), 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards blue violet (RHS 94C); style arms same, with white center; falls blue violet (94C) with white veins extending almost to edge, yellow signal suffused green. Parentage unknown. Hirao prior to 1985. Also in commerce as "Izo-no-Umi".
