1998, Bauer/Coble

'Pinkerton' ( Bob Bauer and John Coble, R. 1998). Seedling J93-K-4. JI (6 Falls), height 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Pink, opening from red pink buds; style arms cream, edges and crests pink. 'Sakura-No-Sono' X 'Hime Kagami'. Ensata Gardens 1999. Award of Merit 2006.

  • JI 'Pinkerton' bloomed at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, approximately, July 3-11, in 2017. The blooms only reached a height of 26"; this could have been due to late freezing temperatures this spring, or because this was a fairly small clump, and had not reached maturity. -- HollyJohnson2017-04-01 - 04 Aug 2017
