■(JI) 'Sakura Komachi'

circa 1995, Ichie

'Sakura Komachi' (Toyokazu Ichie by Society for Japanese Irises, R. 1995) JI (3 Falls), 23" (58 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards and style arms pink (RHS 75D), edges and tips darker (75B/C); Falls pale pink (75D) ground with darker (75B) veins giving overall effect (75C/D), signal rich yellow (12A). 'Miyoshino' X "Kyokusui-No-Uta". Introduced in Japan circa 1982.

From AIS Bulletin #309 April 1998 Introducing SAKURA KOMACHI Pink Beauty (Ichie, T.,1982 Reg. McEwen 1995) Diploid 3 fall Japanese Iris, 26", blooms early mid season. Falls are medium pink (RHS 75C) with lighter standards and styles. Sturdy plant, falls have great substance. Eartheart Gardens.
