'Shokko Nishiki' (
T. H. Chivers, 1911). JI. Single.color Class-4BL. Translation: Ancient Chinese Brocade.
From Flowerfield catalog, 1956: (Classic Horikiri variety). Years ago this was listed by Childs as Painted Lady. It is pure white with bright rose-pink patches in the center of the falls. The standards are small with a narrow edging of rose-pink. The flower is circular, of firm texture and 6½" across. Stems are tall with many branches. One of the earliest to bloom, it continues to bloom throughout the season. $4.00.
