'Warabe-Uta' (Toyokazu Ichie by Currier McEwen, R. 1996) Seedling 8A-123. JI (3 falls), 36" (90 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards white, edged violet purple (RHS 77A); style arms white with light pinkish purple tufts; falls white center blending to violet purple at outer 3/4", signal rich aureolin yellow (12A); small flower type. HO-6, involving small flowered seedlings, X NAGA #14, from seedling at Nagai Ayame Park. Introduced in Japan prior to 1996.

From AIS Bulletin #305 April 1997 Introducing WARABE-UTA (Child's Song) Ichie 8A-123, 1992: Diploid, 3 falls, small flower type, early to late mid season, height 36" Falls have white centers' blending to dark red-purple (77A) at outer 3/4". Standards are white with dark purple edging. Styles also white with purple tufts. The 4-1/2" arching flowers literally cover the plant for a long period of bloom. Well branched and Vigorous. (HO-6 from small flowered seedlings x Naga #14 from seedlings at Nagai Ayame Park). $30.00. Eartheart Gardens.
