'Golden Fairy' ( Eric Nies, R. 1940) LA. Color Class-Y4M. Medium to dark-toned yellow. Two generations of breeding involving 'Elephantina' and 'Fulvaflav'. Syn: Garden Fairy. Recorded as Vinie in 49 Checklist; Class renamed Louisiana Iris.

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1955: GOLDEN FAIRY. Each 1.00. Deepest yellow variety. Not large but the floriferous habit and graceful wiry stems afford delightful material for flower arrangements. 3-1/2 feet.
