Scientist Ian Charleston Hedge (1928- )
Scottish botanist at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh. He made important contributions to the flora of Iran and the flora of Iraq and is a recognised authority on the flora of south-west Asia. He has named more than 300 new plant species. Hedge also traveled and collected plants in turkey and with Norwegian botanist Per Wendelbo
