When do I Plant Irises?

The short answer is Irises can be planted almost anytime BUT: to achieve the best results and the quickest bloom there are optimal times for planting;

Tall-Bearded Irises prefer being planted in their dormant period mid to late summer: You may still have success at other times but to have great bloom the following year July or August is probably ideal. Beardless Irises prefer to be planted in fall and kept moist till the following spring. More will be added later!
