POSITION TITLE: Affiliates Liaison received 11-5-2015

BASIC FUNCTION:

  • To promote communication and assist with problem solving among the Affiliates and between the affiliates and the AIS board.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • He/she is appointed by the President and responsible to the Board of Directors.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

  • To communicate with affiliated societies/chapters.
  • To assist in the formation of new affiliated societies/chapters.
  • To organize an affiliate officer discussion group.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

  • Provide a link to AIS resources for issues and solutions by regular communication, both email and regular mail.
  • Poll the societies for areas of concern, ideas for improvement and solutions they have found.
  • Coordinate all Affiliate liaison efforts with the RVP Liaison, RVPs, and other AIS committees to ensure a consistent voice in all AIS communication.
  • Attend the spring and fall meetings of the Board of Directors of the American Iris Society and to present a written report at each meeting.

  4. Coordinate all Affiliate liaison efforts with the RVP Liaison, RVPs, and other AIS committees to ensure a consistent voice in all AIS communication.
  5. Attend the spring and fall meetings of the Board of Directors of the American Iris Society and to present a written report at each meeting.
