POSITION TITLE: Symposium Chairman received 11-5-2015

BASIC FUNCTION:
  • To oversee and coordinate all aspects of the symposium program of The American Iris Society.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
  • He/she is appointed by the AIS President and responsible to the Board of Directors
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
  • To be thoroughly familiar with the rules and regulations of The American Iris Society as set forth in the current Handbook for Judges and Show Officials and subsequent rules and regulations approved by The American Iris Society Board of Directors, as pertains to the Symposium of 100 Favorite Irises.
  • To prepare the Symposium ballot for inclusion with the July issue of The Bulletin of the American Iris Society.
  • To interact with RVPs in a timely manner to ensure an efficient balloting process.
  • To receive the regional tabulations from the RVPs and carry out a final tabulation of all ballot results.
  • To submit the final Symposium results to the Editor of The Bulletin of The American Iris Society for publication in the January issue.

  • Prepare the Symposium Ballot of The American Iris Society following all of the rules and regulations as set forth in the current Handbook for Judges and Show Officials and subsequent rules and regulations approved by The American Iris Society Board of Directors
