POSITION TITLE: Director received 11-5-2015

• In accordance with Article VI, Section 1 of the Bylaws of The American Iris Society, the AIS Board of Directors shall have complete and comprehensive power and authority to conduct the affairs of The American Iris Society.

• He/she is elected by the membership through vote by the Board of Directors and therefore ultimately responsible to the membership of The American Iris Society

• He/she is a member of the Board of Directors and participates with other Directors in the responsibility for establishing and implementing basic Society policies.

• To accept the Chairmanship of one of the standing committees of the Society and carry out the duties of that office.

• To attend and participate in the spring and fall meetings of the Board of Directors

• To work with all members of the AIS Board in the best interests of The American Iris Society

• To complete a special project when requested by the AIS President
