'Balroudour' (Jacob Sass, R. 1933) DMB. Early bloom. Color Class-S3L reversed. Yellow seedling of ( I. pumila x unknown) x Regelio-cyclus Section 'Beatrix'.

From Sass catalog, 1937: BALROUDOUR (Jacob Sasss, 1933) S. pallid soft bluish violet. F. deep olive buff with olive yellow blotch at end of beard. An exquisite color combination, reversing the usual combination of bronze standads and blue toned falls. Two flowered stems 12 to 18 inches tall. Vigorous grower. 25c.
From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: BALROUDOUR (J. Sass '33) E 12" (Yellow Pumila Sdlg. X Beatrix). One of the dwarf onco-breds, of which there are many good ones. This light blue bi-tone has a most interesting pedigree. Its pollen parent 'Beatrix' is from the Regalia 'Korolkowi Violaceae' X the Onco specie 'Susiana'. $.50
