1966, Brown 'Blue Capers' ( Alta Brown, R. 1966). Seedling #D 379. MDB, height 4" (10 cm). Very early bloom. Standards sea blue; falls sea blue, washed rose-purple over centers; white beards. 'Cute Capers' X 'Rosy Carpet'. Brown's Iris Gardens 1967. Honorable Mention 1968; Judges Choice 1969. See below:
