Alta Brown, R. 1969). Seedling #M 1299-4. MDB, 8" (20 cm). Early bloom. Standards brilliant empire yellow (603); falls smooth solid orange-yellow, bordered empire yellow; tangerine orange beards.

From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing BUTTERCUP CHARM. Sdlg. M 1299-4. (Sunlit Charm X M 621-11: Irene Brown x Carpathia). E. 8". A small dainty flower of brilliant yellow with rich, smooth orange-yellow falls, banded by a quarter inch margin of yellow; beard is tangerine-orange and all petals have serrated edges. With tall pink on both sides of the parentage, this could produce pink dwarfs. $5.00. Brown's Iris Garden. |
