'Extra' (Cleo Palmer, R. 1989). Seedling #8402. MDB, 5" (13 cm). Early bloom. Standards light blue-violet; falls medium blue-violet, reddish violet spots; yellow beards tipped white. Seedling #7601: ('Bloodspot' x unknown) X unknown. Palmer's Iris Gardens 1989. Honorable Mention 1992.

From AIS Bulletin #273 April 1989 Introducing EXTRA-MDB, 5", E. Light blue violet standards, nearly closed and held. Falls slightly darker with dark reddish violet spot; wide, round, semi-flaring with heavy substance. Very striking. (Bloodspot x unknown) X unknown. $7.50. Palmer's Iris Garden.
