'Path Of Gold' ( E. L. Hodson, R. 1941). DB, 8" (20 cm). Very early bloom. Clear yellow self; yellow beards. 'Bride' X 'Jean Siret'. Honorable Mention 1951; BR 1954; Dwarf Iris Society Medal 1955; Caparne Award 1957.

From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1948: PATH OF GOLD (E. L. Hodson 1943) E. A delightful yellow dwarf iris that is well named for it literally makes a Path of Gold. The plants are very floriferous and hardy, a gem for bordering a path, in a rock garden or about a pool. 9 in. $2.00
