From AIS Bulletin #138, July 1955. Co-introduced with Diehl's Gaarden. WEE TURQUE (1955 Streibich 4-1/2") A dwarf of pure pumila parentage. The standards are blue with a definite turquoise cast. The falls are a soft grape color and the beard is white. The pollen is very fertile and ample. A two year clump of Wee Turque is a solid mass of tiny blooms resembling a colonial corsage. $3.00
From Diehl's Gardens catalog, 1955: Co-introduced with Windridge Farms. WEE TURQUE (Streibich '55) 4½". This dwarf of pure pumila parentage is a color we have not seen before in the dwarfs. The great amount of green along the midrib and at the haft gives a turquoise effect, hence the name. The standards, closed and of good form, are in this turquoise color, and the falls are of a soft grape coloring. The falls tuck at the very tip but are wide and broad. The heavy beard is white and the flower has ample pollen. A two year clump of Wee Turque is a solid mass of bloom, resembling a corsage. $3.00. Windridge Farm.
