<strong>'Summer Candy' </strong>([[Main.Bio.HybridizerProbstDarrell][Darrell Probst]], R. 2009). Sdlg. 88XPAMPMO-12-17. SPEC-X, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards pink (near RHS 64D) veined slightly redder; style arms cream to light yellow (16D), pink tips, orange midribs (25B); Falls white to cream ground, medium pink edges, dark pink center spots (64B), signal white to yellow ground, dark pink dots and tiger veins (64B); slight sweet fragrance. Parentage unknown, involving [[Spec.SpecDichotoma][<i>I. dichotoma</i>]] and [[Spec.SpecDomestica][<i>I. domestica</i>]]. Joe Pye Weed 2009.

| From Joe Pye Weed catalog, 2014: SUMMER CANDY - '09, 36", M, SPEC-X (Probst). Rosy pink! The falls have a white to pale yellow signal covered with dark pink dots and dashes which come together in a flush at the center of the fall. Iris type form with very wide parts, including the styles which are pale cream with pink tips and apricot midribs. Opens at 4 pm and remains open until dark. Over 300 blooms per stalk. $15.00 |
