1971, Dunbar

'Emerald Rays' ( Bonnie Dunbar, R. 1969). Seedling 68-5. SDB, 10" (25 cm), Midseason late bloom. Color Class-Y1Fcm, Standards bright clean medium yellow; Falls clear bright yellow, sharply marked dark green rays from yellow-orange beard halfway to edge. 'Sunaire' X 'Lilli-Yellow'. Riverdale Iris 1971. Honorable Mention 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #201 April 1971 Introducing EMERALD RAYS (Bonnie Dunbar). SDB. 10" $7.50 Sdlg. 68-5. (Sunaire X Lilli-Yellow). Clear intense yellow standards and falls with sharply defined green rays extending from the orange yellow beard. Rounded petals, with horizontal falls. Neat foliage. A grandchild of I. arenaria.
