'Home Port' (Carol Lankow, R. 1987). Seedling# OCS-1. SDB, 9.5" (25 cm). Early bloom. Standards light french blue; falls slightly lighter, inconspicuous white spear at tip of self beard; slight sweet fragrance. 'Skydrops' X seedling# 0A8-2: ('Rain Dance' x 'Friday's Child'). Kirkland Iris 1988.

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing HOME PORT (Lankow) SDB, 9-1/2", E. Smooth stylish French blue (RHS 1000) with bluer styles, slightly lighter falls, and self beards. Well substanced flowers are wide petaled with arched, closed standards and near horizontal falls, all nicely ruffled. The branched stems carry 3 and 4 buds, giving a long season of bloom. Sweetly scented too. Sdlg. OC5-1: Skydrops X (Rain Dance x Friday's Child). $10.00. Kirkland Iris Garden.
