2012, Black

'It's Amazing' (Paul Black, R. 2012) . Seedling# Q115A. IB, 19" (48 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards warm mid pink; style arms mid pink, orchid ridge, warm white edge; falls warm pink, blended buff pink spot around beard, darker buff pink textured veins, pale violet white flash at end of beard; beards dark coral in throat, smoky coral in middle, dark lavender at ends; pronounced spicy fragrance; SDB in appearance but too tall for class. Seedling# O261 sibling: ('Tickety Boo' x seedling# K334B: ('Spree' x 'Cachet')) X T. Johnson seedling# TX100A: ('Fusspot' x seedling# TU323A: ('Stormy Circle' x Investor)). Mid-America 2012.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2012: IT'S AMAZING (Black ‘12) IB Early-Midseason 19” (48cm). Amazing color! Hot pink with tangerine to blue beards. Very short IB. In some areas it will be an IB and others SDB height with similar variation from season to season. By breeding it is a SDB. Rampantly vigorous. Makes instant, massive clumps. Priced the same as SDBs because of rapid increase. Sdlg. Q115A: (Tickety Boo x (Spree x Cachet)) X Giddy pollen parent sib. $18.00.
