'Kiwi Slices' (O. David Niswonger, R. 1989). Seedling# SDB 14-87. SDB, 12" (30 cm), Midseason bloom. Ruffled chartreuse with burgundy spot on falls; white beard tipped blue. 'Silver Rain X unknown, probably self. Cape Iris 1990. Honorable Mention 1992; Award of Merit 1994.

From AIS Bulletin #277 April 1990 Introducing KIWI SLICES (Niswonger '90) Sdlg. 14-87: Silver Rain X unknown. SDB, 12", Mid. The nice ruffled semi-flared falls of this well formed beauty is not the whole story. I think you will be captivated by the color of chartreuse with a burgundy splash in the falls and gray-blue beards. This cross of over 100 seedlings brought forth many unusual shades of blue-green-mustard and gray. Fertile both ways. $15.00. Cape Iris.
