References

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2011: PURPLE TIGER (Black ‘11) SDB Midseason-Late 15.5” (40 cm). Purple Tiger was pure excitement from the moment it first bloomed. Standards are dark royal purple. Slightly lighter falls have white hafts and blue violet flash at end of white beards overlaid tangerine. Now for the exciting part. A web of black veins overlays the hafts and lower two-thirds of the falls. There is no end to the breeding potential - maybe black veins on white falls. Sdlg. P123A: (Baby Booties x I265A - very involved seedlings) X Raspberry Tiger sib. $18.00.
