Standards raspberry rose; style arms white, raspberry rose ridge, red veins over crest; falls dark garnet blending lighter to red toward edge on sides, light blended rose band, dark black-cherry veins overall, gold rays on each side of beard; beards sienna gold, white at base; ruffled; slight spicy fragrance. From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2005: RAY OF LIGHT - SDB, 12" (30 cm), Midseason. Ray Of Light comes very close to achieving a hot pink and red combination. Standards are bright raspberry-rose. Salmon style crests are veined dark red. Near red falls are darker in their centers and fanning paler approaching butter yellow hafts. A network of dark red-black spiderweb veins creep over the falls terminating inside a narrow rose-white band. White beards are tipped gold to rust. Exciting color! Sdlg.
