■(SDB) 'Satin Lustre'

1975, Hamblen

'Satin Lustre' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1974). Seedling# M70-19B. SDB, 12" (30 cm). Midseason late bloom. Standards yellow (RHS 6A); falls creamy yellow (4D) with deeper-toned haft and mini edge, yellow on reverse; light blue-violet beard tipped white. 'Green Haze' X 'Canary Isle'. Mission Bell 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing SATIN LUSTRE. ML, 12". Glistening yellow bitone with exquisite form-wide petaled, lightly ruffled. Closed stands are yellow (RHS 6A). Flaring falls are creamy yellow (4D) with yellow reverse, deeper-toned haft and mini-edge. Light blue-violet beard (91C) with hairs tipped white. The lustrous sheen adds a touch of elegance. One branch, three buds. Green Haze X Canary Isle. #M70-19B. $7.50. Mission Bell.
