'Harpswell Prelude' ( Currier McEwen, R. 1994). Seedling T(8)88/1(2). SIB (tet.), 20" (51 cm), Very early bloom and rebloom. Standards medium violet blue (RHS 90C); Falls darker (93B), brown gold signal. 'White Prelude' X 'Lucky Lilac'. Eartheart, Seaways 1994.

From AIS Bulletin #293 April 1994 Introducing HARPSWELL PRELUDE-Tetraploid, 26", VE & RE. The 5" medium violet-blue flowers are the first to open at Seaways and repeat for a very long season of bloom. Nicely branched with 3-4 buds. Excellent parent. $35.00. Seaways, Eartheart.
