'Lime Street Blues' (
Marty Schafer and Jan Sacks, R. 2014). Seedling S07-41-13. SIB, 26" (66 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards light blue (RHS 95D), darker veins in center, palest yellow edges; style arms pearl, yellow tips, blue midribs; Falls combination of pale blue over light yellow suggesting green (similar to 160 C/D), signal light yellow (10C) with dark blue veins and speckles; slight sweet fragrance.

From Joe Pye Weed catalog, 2014: LIME STREET BLUES - SIBERIAN. Schafer/Sacks (Seedling No. S0?-41-13), 26", ML. Our first introduction from a fabulous cross (more to come). Blue over yellow - if you use your imagination, you might see green. Standards are light blue, have dark blue central veins, and a hint of aqua as they age. The falls are washed light blue over a yellow ground forming a greyed blue-green. The soft yellow signals are veined blue. The styles are pearly with light yellow tips and an aqua flushed midrib. Smallish flowers, nice compact clump. Four to five buds per stalk, good strong grower. Tipped In Blue X Mission Bay. $35.00 |
