1989, Thompson & Morgan

'Melton Red Flare' ( Thompson & Morgan by Keith Sangster, R. 1997) Seedling Seed strain. SIB, 36-43" (91-110 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards wine red; Falls lighter red wine, pale wine red signal with darker veins; slight fragrance. Selection from seedling lines. Thompson & Morgan 1989 as "Red Flare".
