'Sweet Success' (Steve Varner, R. 1993). Seedling 3150. SIB, 22" (56 cm), Midseason late bloom. Royal purple; signal area veined gold. 'Belfast' X 'Foretell'. Illini Iris 1994.

From AIS Bulletin #293 April 1994 Introducing SWEET SUCCESS-SIB, 22", ML, 3" wide. Very luminous royal purple self. Signal limited to very fine gold veins extending from shaft. Two branches (1 low), 3-4 blooms. Unique parentage-#3150: Belfast X Foretell. $50.00. Illini Iris.
