'Tropic Night' (F. Cleveland Morgan, R1937 ) SIB. 30" Late bloom. Violet-blue with a white veined patch on the falls. Morgan Award 1954.

From Longfield Iris Farms catalog, 1956: TROPIC NIGHT (Morgan 1937). H.M. 1951; A.I.S. The finest real deep blue--Surpasses Caesar and Caesar's Brother. 40 inches. $1.50.
From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1964: TROPIC NIGHT (Morgan 1937) Each 1.00; 3 for 2.5O. A rich, handsome variety of deepest violet blue. Well formed large flowers. In heavy demand and stock is scarce.
