Iris cabulica Gilli (A. Gilli, 1954, East-north-east of Kabul, Afghanistan); Subgenus Scorpiris, Juno; 6" (15-17 cm); Much swollen storage roots; Although the strongly falcate leaves are well-developed during flowering time with a width of 2 cm, they continue to enlarge to a width of 4.5 cm and a length of 25 cm later. The leaves are shiny, have a white margin, and completely hide the stem. Flowers 2-4; From white to very pale lilac with a yellow ridge on falls; The narrower margin of the haft of the falls turns downward only slightly compared to others in this group. Falls 3.5-4.5 cm long by 1.3-1.5 cm broad; outer part reflexed, with a 1 cm crenate crest at base. Standards 1.3-2 cm long by .5-.7 cm wide, lanceolate to elliptic, on a short narrow claw. Style branches 3.8-4.2 cm long with 1.5 cm long crenate lobes. Seeds arillate;
