(SPEC) Iris formosana Ohwi

1934, botanical author Ohwi

Iris formosana. (Ohwi, 1934, Taiwan); 24-36" (60-90 cm); Lilac flowers with a yellow crest and appearing similar to Iris japonica but larger; The basal stem is 6-8" in length, with the fan of leaves and floral stem springing from the top of this, giving a total height of a blooming plant of from 2-3ft. stoloniferous and self sterile;
