■ (SPEC) Iris histrio var. aintabensis Bak.

1932, Baker

'Aintabensis' (George Percival Baker, 1932, Gaziantep, S. Turkey). Subgenus Hermodactyloides._Reticulata Group; 3" (8 cm), Light blue self, often deeper blue than typical form; variety distinguished by the "rice grain" bulblets it forms at the base of the bulb. Hocker 1932; 1936; [Iris histrio var. _aintabensis G. P. Baker].
