__Iris kuschakewiczi__ *B. Fedtch.* ( [[Main.Bio.HybridizerFedtschenkoBoris][Boris Fedtschenko]], 1905, Turkestan). [[Main.InfoClassificationSubgenusScorpiris][Subgenus Scorpirs (Juno)]]; Height 4-6", (10-15 cm); B; Very pale violet with very dark violet blotches and lines on either side of a prominent white crest. Bull. Jard. Imp. Bot. Pet. 5: 158. 1905; Although the 1939 checklist suggested this was a form of [[Spec.SpecNarynensis][<i>Iris narynensis</i>]] Mathew in "The Iris" retains this as a separate species.

| Dykes in The Genus Iris, 1913;</br></br>Description.</br> *Stem* , hardly produced, densely clothed with leaves, which are falcate and possess a distinct horny margin with prominent setae.</br> *Tube* , slightly overtopping the spathes.</br> *Flowers* , bluish.</br> *Falls* , elongated, oblong, with a deeply-coloured circular patch on the blade.</br> *Standards*, short, drooping, broadening a little from the base and then dividing into three acute points.</br>Affinity with I. narynensis is suggested in the original description, and it is not easy to separate the two plants except that the leaves of I. Kuschakewiczii seem broader, stiffer, and more sharply falcate and the segments of the flowers broader.|
