Subgenus Scorpirs (Juno); Height 4-6", (10-15 cm); B; Very pale violet with very dark violet blotches and lines on either side of a prominent white crest. Bull. Jard. Imp. Bot. Pet. 5: 158. 1905; Although the 1939 checklist suggested this was a form of
Iris narynensis Mathew in "The Iris" retains this as a separate species.
