■ (SPEC) Iris iberica subspecies lycotis (Woron.) Takht.

1915, Originally described as a species by Woronoff reduced to subspecies by Takhtajan

'Lycotis' ( G. (Jurij) Nikolajewitsch Woronoff, 1915, Armenia, Middle Mountain region). Section Oncocyclus; S6D; Mathew distinguishes this subspecies as having the carriage of the falls almost horizontal.

Correvon 1930. 2n=20, Zakharyeva, 1985. Iris iberica subsp. lycotis see cultivars; 'Heterochloa', 'Lycotis Magnifica', 'Lycotis panthera', 'Lycotis Pardus', 'Lycotis typica', and 'Pantera'.

'Lycotis Magnifica' (Alexander Grossheim, 1928). Section Oncocyclus; R3D; Dark cherry red ground color. Fl. Cauc. 1: 253. 1928; [Iris iberica Hoffm. subsp. lycotis var. magnifica Grossh.]

'Lycotis Pardus' (Alexander Grossheim, 1928). Section Oncocyclus-S; Iris iberica Hoffm. subsp lycotis var. pardus. "With the standards veined and the falls spotted"-Mathew, The Iris. Synonym Iris lycotis var. pardus Grossh. [Iris iberica Hoffm. subsp lycotis var. pardus].

'Lycotis typica' (Alexander Grossheim, 1928). Section Oncocyclus-S4; veined falls and standards, most common form Iris iberica Hoffm. subsp. lycotis var. lycotis-Mathew's The Iris.
