'Clara Ellen' ( B. Charles Jenkins, R. 1993) Seedling #AA21-OB. SPU, 34-42" (86-107 cm). Early bloom. Standards and style arms light purple; falls yellow, light edging of purple at crimped margin, intensifying at apex with narrow purple lines. 'Imperial Bronze' X unknown. Shepard Iris 1993. Honorable Mention 1997.

From AIS Bulletin #289 April 1993 Introducing CLARA ELLEN (93 Jenkins) SPU-40"-E. This early prolific grower is a light shade of purple. A medium size yellow signal with narrow purple lines accents the crimped purple edges of the falls. (Imperial Bronze X unknown). $25.00. Shepard Iris Garden.
