HIGHLINE LAVENDER (McCown '68). Mrs. McCown is so highly thought of here that she is the one and only reason for Imperial being in San Diego-Imperial Counties Iris Society. HIGHLINE LAVENDER is a compact flower having broad ruffled falls of yellow with a comparatively wide border of rose-lavender. The standards are wide, erect, and also of rose-lavender. This spuria was a color break, which along with its compact form and heavy substance, has earned for itself this year's Eric Nies Award. [Chesnik, Ray (1971).
